Westbank Medical Pavilion

The challenge

The pavilion sits twenty metres from an occupied emergency entrance. Noise, dust, vibration and deliveries had to stay out of patient areas for the whole build.

Our approach

We staged all deliveries off-hours through a dedicated gate, built a negative-pressure barrier at every tie-in and ran vibration monitors on a posted limit. The superintendent met the hospital facilities lead every morning.

The result

• Four storeys delivered on the agreed opening date
• Zero shutdowns of the neighbouring hospital entrance
• Commissioning completed before occupancy
